Circulation of musical cultural contents via Web

The Ricordi database project enables users to consult Web data and metadata on digitalized works. In particular, for each composition the information on composers and productions has been inputted and linked to related digital objects: scores, set and figure designs, drawings, stage plans, signed letters, etc.

The digitisation project has been promoted and funded by the General Direction for Book Heritage and Cultural Institutes, and it is inserted in a wide and articulated cataloguing and digitisation programme of the principal sources preserved in libraries and archives of the most important Italian musical institutions.

The documents belonging to the Casa Ricordi Music Archive have been digitised following the Digital Italian Library - BDI standards and are available on the Internet Cultural Portal pages InternetCulturale.
